My WordPress Admin Was Super Slow... And I Finally Fixed It!

I’ve been struggling with my WordPress Admin dashboard for a while — every time I clicked on something, it took more than 10 seconds to load! 😩 I’m not even sure when the issue started, but it got so frustrating that I finally left feedback with Bluehost, my domain provider.

To my surprise, they got back to me really quickly — even left me a voice message in the middle of the night (my time)! 😂 The next day, I reached out to their online support. The customer service agent was helpful and tried to fix the problem by clearing the backend cache and walking me through some settings. But unfortunately, it was still very slow.

So the next day, I continued hunting for a solution on my own. That’s when I came across a suggestion to use a plugin called Code Profiler to measure the performance of plugins and themes at the PHP level.

Since I had already deactivated several plugins (hoping one of them was the cause), I figured, why not try Code Profiler?

And… wow. After running the profiler, I saw the light! 💡

Result after profiling using Code Profiler

Turns out the plugin “Ansar Import” was seriously slowing down my entire backend. I wasn’t sure what it was for — I use a custom theme and worried that deactivating it might mess things up. But at this point, I had to try.

So I deactivated Ansar Import… and OMG! My WordPress admin dashboard became faasssst! 🎉
Mission complete!

If you’re experiencing the same issue, I highly recommend checking your plugins with Code Profiler and deactivating “Ansar Import” if it shows up as a performance hog.

Lesson learned:
👉 Don’t trust a plugin just because it has one 5-star rating. Always check reviews and monitor your site's performance.

How to Fix Domain Issues After Removing It from Fourthwall

How to Fix Domain Issues After Removing It from Fourthwall

Yesterday, I attempted to connect my domain name to Fourthwall, hoping to effortlessly showcase my print-on-demand products on the domain I had just purchased from Bluehost. Initially, the connection did not work as expected, but I wasn’t too concerned—I figured I could still promote my products through blog posts and use hyperlinks to direct visitors to my store.

Feeling optimistic, I continued creating blog posts on WordPress, happily working on my website. However, later that night, I was shocked to find that my domain now displayed my Fourthwall shop instead of my original site! Where was my custom-designed website? I had already written several blog posts, and now everything seemed lost.

Trying not to panic, I decided to remove the domain from Fourthwall, hoping my original site would automatically return. But it didn’t. I spent some time investigating the issue, wondering what had happened and what would come next. I assumed my site might take time to reappear, so I decided to wait and check in the morning.
